First we at Voodoo Misfits Inc. would like to thank you for taking the time to read this. We feel it is our duty to explain to the people of Arkansas and the Van Buren area the details regarding the closing of the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter. We will try our best in this document to give as much detail as possible regarding our decision to close the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter and we will try to explain what has transpired since the decision to close the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter. This document is not designed to harass or abuse anyone who was involved with the Van Buren Arkansas Chapter of Voodoo Misfits Inc. and we have reserved the right to give full details of our decision to close the Van Buren Chapter of Voodoo Misfits Inc.

The Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Social media pages have NOT been hacked. They are in the full control of Voodoo Misfits Inc. who has had control of the Social Media Pages and Website since 2012. This document will explain why.

Voodoo Misfits Inc. was founded in 2011 in Kansas City Missouri. Voodoo Misfits Inc. became a legal Corporation in 2012 in the state of Missouri. Voodoo Misfits Inc. is a registered and approved IRS 501c3 Public Charity and is current and compliant with all rules, regulations, and filings for a 501c3 public charity. Voodoo Misfits Inc. is a GOLD STAR participant with Guidestar.com (http://www.guidstar.com). Voodoo Misfits Inc. is a public charity that helps the general public within the community that each chapter is structured. We are not dedicated to just one area of need and we are NOT a child advocate group. We help people who are in need regardless of race, religion, gender, age, etc. We do not discriminate.

How was the Van Buren Chapter affiliated with Voodoo Misfits Inc.?
The Van Buren Chapter of Voodoo Misfits Inc. was formed on November 11^th 2012. The Van Buren Chapter of Voodoo Misfits Inc. was originally formed by George Cole (Van Buren President) and Stacy Eckert (Van Buren Secretary). On April 20^th 2014 the Van Buren Chapter became a Legal Association of Voodoo Misfits Inc. with Mr. Cole as President and Ms. Eckert as Secretary. (See image of Signatures below)

Why was the Van Buren Chapter dissolved by Voodoo Misfits Inc.?
Throughout the time that the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter was active the Corporation had numerous occasions where they could not get any of the required monthly/yearly paperwork that the corporation needed from the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter. This includes but is not limited to Financial Paperwork, Bank Statements, Members List, Meeting Minutes, Receipts where chapter funds were spent, copies of checks written, membership legal paperwork, etc. We would contact the President and Secretary monthly requesting these items and never receive them. Voodoo Misfits Inc. uses a cloud based file system so that it is simple for our chapters to submit needed paperwork to the corporation as required. Van Buren was the only Chapter we had problems getting required paperwork from. When the Van Buren President was contacted about this his reply was that he nor his members understand computers so using a cloud was difficult for them.

Like most we were aware of what they were posting on social media and it appeared to us that even though they we not submitting the required paperwork they were helping their community. Everything appeared to look normal and good from that prospective. Although monthly the corporation still had to request the required paperwork and the corporation still would never receive it. The corporation even had the President and Secretary of the Van Buren Chapter come to Kansas City so they could be taught how to use the cloud system to submit paperwork and the cloud system could be used on a computer or any smartphone. To the mistake of the corporation and due to the appearance that the Chapter was helping their community the Van Buren Chapter was allowed to continue to operate even without submitting the required paperwork month after month.

In Feb 2016 the Voodoo Misfits Inc. Corporation was contacted by 5 (five) members of the Van Buren Chapter requested from the Van Buren Chapter to see the chapter’s financial records. When those members were not allowed to see the financial records they contacted the corporation with allegations that the Van Buren Chapter was misusing funds that were raised during events, and from donations from the community. These 5 (five) members left the Van Buren Chapter due to this and started their own Chapter. It was brought to the Corporations attention that the majority of funds raised were being used for the Van Buren Chapter’s membership rather than for the community. The corporation was notified that items that have been given to the community (such as food and hygiene items, etc.) were items that were donated, but the majority of cash or money that was donated to, or raised by the Van Buren Chapter at events ended up being used to benefit some of the chapter members rather than benefit the community. The corporation started an investigation to verify or deny the allegations. The Van Buren Chapter President (George Cole) was contacted by the corporation by phone and he was notified of the allegations and a follow-up email was sent to the Chapter requesting information to help with the investigation of the Chapter. The corporation continued the investigation below is their findings.

On July 1^st 2015 the Van Buren Chapter opened a Trust fund for James Powers. The Van Buren Chapter deposited a total of $541.00 into that trust fund. (See image of statement below)

A total of $541.00 was withdrawn from the trust fund and the trust fund was closed. Reason given to the bank for closing the trust fund was End of Care and that James Powers had passed away. (Deceased) (See image below of paperwork from the bank that was completed by the Van Buren Chapter when they closed the account).

After investigating this information, it was discovered that James Powers was a child and in fact he was not deceased. After further investigation it was discovered that James Powers was the son of Mary and Paul Powers and they are listed on the Van Buren Chapter Member List showing they joined the Van Buren Chapter on May 11^th 2014 (Below is a screenshot of the 2015 Members List for Van Buren Chapter *personal info and names of other members have been blacked out, it shows James Powers parents as members)

Other items that we discovered were Checks written from the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter Bank account that were written to members or Associates of Voodoo Misfits Van Buren. Let it be known that as a Member of Voodoo Misfits Inc. or any Voodoo Misfits Inc. Chapter you are strictly a volunteer and it is against the Corporation Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation to be compensated in anyway by the Corporation or any Chapter. (Below are imaged of the Checks that were written to some Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter members or Associates.

CHECK #1013 Written to Stacy Eckert (Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Secretary) $87.31

CHECK #1014 Written to Tom Ross (Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Associate & Head of SADA) $250.00

CHECK #1016 Written to Tom Ross (Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Associate & head of SADA) $321.00

The Corporation also discovered Checks written to Arkansas Utility Companies to Pay Members / Members Families Utility Bills.

CHECK #1019 Written to an Arkansas Utility Company for $85.00

Below is a Screenshot showing that Jennifer Mayhall is in fact the daughter of Trey Farrar who is a member of the Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter.

After reviewing the information that was sent to the corporation only after the acquisitions of misuse of Chapter funds it was discovered that just in the year of 2015 most of the cash/money donations that the Van Buren Chapter received was used for the Chapter and its membership rather than the community. A total of $6611.22 in cash was raised in 2015 by the Van Buren Chapter. The Van Buren Chapter retained $3672.38 for the Chapter and its membership and the Van Buren Chapter used $2938.94 to give back to the community. While the corporation understands that Chapters have items they need to spend expenses on the total expenses needed should not be over 10% of the amount that is donated to the Chapter.

Please note that the above totals are only the totals of what the Van Buren Chapter released to the Corporation. Totals for the following events that the Van Buren Chapter did not release the total funds raised to the Corporation.

August 29^th 2015 – Teddy Bear Roundup - $15 per rider – No Information on Funds Raised
June 20^th 2015 – Car Truck and Bike Show - $15 per entry - No Information on Funds Raised
May 16^th 2015 – Poker Run - $15 per rider - No Information on Funds Raised
April 25^th 2016 – Stop the Violence Ride - $10 per rider - No Information on Funds Raised
Jan 26^th 2015 – Chili Cook Off - $10 entry fee / $1 per vote - No Information on Funds Raised
Jan 18^th 2015 – Benefit Concert - $5 entry fee - No Information on Funds Raised

These events are just events in the year of 2015 that the Van Buren Chapter held and did not report any funds that were raised to the Corporation of Voodoo Misfits Inc. So it is unknown how much funds were raised and where the funds went. This does not include any events the Van Buren Chapter held in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 before the Van Buren Chapter was dissolved by the Corporation of Voodoo Misfits Inc.

During the investigation done by the Corporation it was also discovered that items that were donated to the Voodoo Misfits van Buren Chapter were being sold by members or associates. (notice 21 sheets of 1/2x4x12 Drywall was requested)

Based on some of the above information the Van Buren Chapter of Voodoo Misfits Inc. was dissolved by the Voodoo Misfits Inc. Corporation.

What has been happened since the Van Buren Chapter was dissolved?
Members of the former Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter have started another group. They have closely used the name and logo of Voodoo Misfits Inc. for their new group.
Their new group is named Voo-Doo Misfitz Riding Club and below you will see their new logo compared to the Voodoo Misfits Inc. Logo.

You will notice that it is the same person in both images. That is George Cole (Former President of the Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter and current President of Voo-Doo Misfitz Riding Club)

We have been contacted by many people telling us that they are still using our name and logo and they were asked why they made their new name and logo so closely to resemble the Voodoo Misfits Inc. name and logo. Below you will see a screenshot of their reply to that question.

Who is Tom Ross? From the information the Corporation has been given he is the main person for SADA (Students Against Drugs and Alcohol) but more information on that follows.

Some other information that we have stumbled into is that the current organization The former Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter is working with known as SADA (Students Against Drugs and Alcohol) is also mainly made up of members from the former Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter. Below is a screenshot the President of SADA’s Social Media profile Page.

Also it should be noted that Ms. Eckert (President of SADA) and Mr. Cole (President of Voo-Doo Misfitz Riding Club) are engaged to each other and reside in the same household. Below are some photos of them together.

Ms. Eckert is also a member of Voo-Doo Misfitz Riding Club. Her current vest tags say she is the Captain which would make her also an active Board Member of both organizations.

All of the Voo-Doo Misfitz Riding Clubs current fliers state they are raising money for SADA (Students Against Drugs and Alcohol) in which Ms. Eckert is the President of and Tom Ross claims to be the owner of SADA Van Buren.

Check the above images. Red Arrows show the ties between the organizations of Voo-Doo Misfitz Riding Club and SADA (Students Against Drugs and Alcohol) However both organizations are made up of, governed by the same people. This is a Violation of the Conflict of Interest guidelines set in place by the IRS for Charities. Two Charity organizations governed and operated by the same people but made to look like it is two separate entities?

You will notice also that if you look at older fliers throughout the life span of Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter that a lot of their fliers also include Alpha Omega Ink Tattoo Shop. (Mr. Cole and Ms. Eckert own this Tattoo Business). This is a Violation of the Conflict of Interest guidelines set in place by the IRS for Charities. Where the Non-Profit and For-Profit are both benefiting from each other and are owned by Members/Directors of the Non-Profit.

Their reply to being dissolved and their defense on Social Media to try and take the light off of them is posting an image of the National President of Voodoo Misfits Inc. saying he is a pedophile. This is false. The National President of Voodoo Misfits is on the Missouri Sex Offenders list. And you are welcome to look him up at the Missouri Highway Patrol website. If you search him on the official Missouri site, you will see he has been compliant for over 20 years.

The National President of Voodoo Misfits Inc. is not a pedophile. His case did not involve any child or children. He was 19 with a 17-year-old consenting girlfriend. I believe it is called a Romeo and Juliet case. This case was in 1991 and the National President is currently 44 years old, Married and has 4 Children. Two of those children he has legal full custody of (That is correct, A court of law issued him full custody of his two children in 2011). The statute that the National President was convicted of is Rsmo 566.050 (look it up) and currently that Statute is no longer a law as the age of consent has changed in Missouri. If you search him on the official Missouri site, you will notice that when clicking the link on his charge that the l8ink is no longer valid and will go to a 404 error page. Rsmo 566.050 was repealed as a statute in 1995.
below you will see a section that shows the repel and also states that stipulations only effect those convicted after August 28^th 2004

The National President does not hide this info and the former Voodoo Misfits Van Buren Chapter knew about this in 2012 when they started their Chapter. So their claims are invalid and the National President is not currently doing anything wrong. If he was he wouldn’t be listed as compliant. The former Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter members have even gone as far as to crop the image they are posting to remove information trying to get people to think that this case just happened rather than giving full information. Rather than face the information in this document the former Voodoo Misfits Inc. Van Buren Chapter decided to put this focus on the National President.

Please also note that the law the former Van Buren Chapter members are posting regarding the Charge the National President was charged with is the Arkansas Law and Not the Missouri Law. They are also editing the Arkansas Law that they are posting to not include the full law in Arkansas that does not even pertain to the National President because his case was in Missouri not Arkansas.

What should you do before deciding to donate to a charity?
Research the Charity, If the Charity is a 501c3 Charity is will be listed on the IRS website. You can search Charities on the IRS website here:

When performing your search on the IRS site make sure the city and state shown on the IRS website matches the area where you reside. There are a lot of false organizations out there that clone the name of a IRS 501c3 Charity in an attempt to scam the community. All 501c3 Charities will have an approval letter from the IRS. Ask the organization to see theirs. Below is an image of the approval letter for Voodoo Misfits Inc. to show what it looks like.

Next step would be to contact your state and make sure they are legally able to operate in your state. You can do this by going to the Secretary of the State website for your state. If you do not find them listed on your Secretary of State website the chances are they are not legally operating.

Check their Guidestar rating (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) you will see their rating in the top right section of their Guidestar page.

If there is no rank, then the organization has not submitted enough information to Guidestar to have be verified and ranked. They also have failed to disclose any financial information to Guidestar so Guidestar will not rank them.

You can also contact your States Attorney General to get information about a Charity.

The law is in place to protect the people from being scammed.
The bylaws of Voodoo Misfits Inc. state: "Any and all Chapters that grow from this Corporation must form a legal Association of Voodoo Misfits Inc. within the State in which they operate."
The Van Buren Chapter did not form a Legal Association of the Corporation in the State of Arkansas. The Van Buren Chapter failed to register with the state and failed to provide any financial records of how funds were being used to the corporation or the state of Arkansas. After a period of time the corporation started an investigation and involved the State of Arkansas in the investigation. It was found that more monies were not being distributed as they should be and checks were written to members and people associated with the Van Buren Chapter rather than to the community. This information has been given to the State of Arkansas as they have launched a separate investigation on the Van Buren Chapter and their membership. The Voodoo Misfits Inc. Corporation Greatly apologizes for this and it has taught us to better our corporation in the future. Voodoo Misfits Inc. does have Chapters in other areas throughout the United States and currently they are all within the Bylaws of the Corporation and all Federal/State/ and Local laws in the areas of which they operate.
The Corporation of Voodoo Misfits Inc. is legally incorporated in the state of Missouri and is a registered 501c3 Public Charity with the IRS. The Corporation of Voodoo Misfits Inc. is also a Gold Guide Star participant. Guide Star is the number one place to check on a charity before you donate to them. Just because a charity is listed on Guide Star does not make them legit. Check their Guide Star rank (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) The higher the rank the better the charity has disclosed. Look to make sure fields on the Guide Star Charity listing are not left empty (RESPONSE NOT PROVIDED will be shown in empty fields). Make sure the Address of operation is correct. There are a lot of small charities out these that operate under the same name or a name that is a close resemblance to another charity. If the charity has moved locations the Guide Star profile and all Federal, State, and Local paperwork should have been updated with the new address.
Please Research a Charity before you donate. Once again the Voodoo Misfits Inc. Corporation and all of its remaining Chapters would like to apologize to the Community of Van Buren Arkansas for the wrong doings that the Van Buren Chapter of Voodoo Misfits Inc. has does recently and in the past.

As for the Motorcycle that has been advertised as being raffled. Voodoo Misfits Inc. does not have any partnership or evolvement in this raffle. The raffle has an organization named "Students Against Drugs and Alcohol" listed on the raffle tickets. I would search the Attorney General Site for the State of Arkansas to verify this is a registered charity in Arkansas.
